      I celebrated my birthday here and dinner was brilliant. The starters with the olives and sardines were very lovely. And the mixed grilled meats I got was pretty good! It's exciting to get wild boar because I don't find it on many menus in the states. I have had a wild boar burger once and it definitely wild boar was something I'd try again.

      The staff was kind in particular one waiter who gave away that a little something was gonna happen at the end of the meal. However, one gripe, food takes long to come out. But I guess it was worth the wait because I enjoyed my dishes.

      Okay food, not really great service.

      We stopped by as a party of two, and there are several different options in this fairly tourist-y part of town. The English speaking was a bit hit-or-miss, and it was hard to get a server to help us at various points during the meal. The octopus was okay (at least it was plentiful), while the two fish dish we had was okay. It's a bit pricey, but what you sort of expect given the clientele for the area.

      Food was very poor, we had stale and awful mushrooms, very salty octopus and bread only Portuguese sausage.

      They put bread and olives on the table for when you arrive but charge you for this without saying.

      Positive: generous servings of port and wine

      Overall food is awful and there are better places to go.

      This was just about my favorite restaurant on my visit to the Porto area. I was hanging with my friend Andrea, who is a food and wine guide, so she scoped out the perfect restaurant for lunch. This place is all about the seafood, and I am certainly all about that 'under the sea' treasure.

      We opted for the sampler, which included a selection of eight appetizers. Now, I've been to TGIF Fridays before, so I know what a sampler should look like, a selection of small dishes on a single plate. Oh, you silly American, this is Portugal, and just as the king of Sparta took pride in a Spartan's ability to make war, the Portuguese seem to take pride in their ability to make food....a lot of food.

      When the mega-sampler came to our table, I nearly fainted, doe it was served on nothing less than a Lazy Susan! Those little sampler plates were in fact full scale appetizer plates, and with just two of us to tackle Paul Bunyan's sampler, I was beginning to panic. However, the eight plates of various appetizers were so tempting that I soon forgot my fear, for this is Portugal after all, a foodie paradise that takes no prisoners. I manned up on the delicious sampler, devouring such scrumptious selections as: sauteed shrimp and clams both in a buttery garlic sauce, sauteed mushrooms, cuttlefish cooked in its own ink, fava beans and ham, two types of octopus. I immediately found myself drawn to the marinated octopus, and I had a hard time pulling myself away from it until Andrea reminded me that that this medley of seafood was not too be missed. Oh, and let's not forget the for chunks of chorizo [laced in the center of the whole massive affair, because there just wasn't enough food.

      When it was all said and done, we were unable to finish this beast, so we lost the battle of the sampler, However, this is a battle that I would gladly undertake again....just give me a few weeks to recover.

      Expensive price compared to quality, originality of food, reasonable quality. Good decor and view. Modest service.

      Typical tourist trap food. Boar overcooked, cold food, service poor, took forever to get the bill. Also if you are not going to write down the parties menu selections you need to be sure and serve the correct dish to the person who ordered it. Also for fish served bone-in, there is an expectation that an offer to debone the fish be made. We had such great meals in Porto but we should have known from the location that this would not be one of them. They survive on one time clients
      The view was nice along with the ambiance but not worth the trouble.

      Horrible customer service! Tricked us and made us double order. Please don't spoil your Porto experience! Do not go here! Waste of time and money!
