I normally come away from hair dressers unhappy. I never like how they layer my hair and how they shape the front but for once I am impressed!
The stylist was friendly, gave advice on what would suit me, gave advice on shampoo best for my hair and advice on styling it myself (you can tell I am hopeless with hair yer?). AND most importantly cut it nicely and spent the time putting waves through it at the end - I wished I was going out after!
The place itself is nice, not screaming stylish or luxurious but light, reasonably furnished. They also do waxing, pedicures and manicures.
The location is great for me, situated so close to work (Leather Lane) and for £30ish for a cut and dry I will definitely be back!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - DÃana B.London, United Kingdom8219021012 Oct 2016
Just got my hair done today. It was a simple cut and the hairdresser did the job nicely. I was in and out in an hour, with healthier looking blow-dried hair. I wouldn't say it's the friendliest or warmest place, there weren't any friendly tips offered or suggestions with what to do with my hair, and doesn't really feel like you're being pampered. I got this on a groupon deal for £29 which I felt was the right price, so I don't know how I'd feel about paying more for what I got done. But overall I'd say it does the job and I'm happy with the results.

Avoid at all costs. The 'hot' or hard wax as it's commonly known in the US is a thinner, poor man's version of hard wax. If you're expecting a thicker, more gelatinous wax (that is often blue) you won't. You'll be getting what looks exactly like strip wax wax, but that will harden.
I've been getting waxed for over 5 years now and have an incredibly high tolerance for pain and was left bleeding after my most recent wax here The advantage of hard wax is that it's less painful for most people (not a huge priority) but I also find to be more long lasting. I should have just gone with strip.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I will not be returning - even if it's conveniently located.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 021 Aug 2015Previous reviewIt's not super chic, very practical get it done type place.
I went for a Hollywood (everything, also known as a Brazilian in the US) on a quick lunch break, and it was all good and done within twenty minutes. They use soft wax and double dip sticks which grosses a lot of people out so be wary. The woman (Caroline?) was very nice and thorough, plucking for the small hairs and asking me to double check at the end if I was satisfied.
I wouldn't make it out of your way to go here. It's conveniently located behind my office, cheap in comparison to lots of London salons and I was in a crunch, otherwise I would look elsewhere. - Amy-Rose M.London, United Kingdom1020225 Jul 2014Updated review
I used to love this place, thought it was reasonably priced and loved the beautician Shanel. However, last time I went, I turned up after booking on the phone and to my surprise found out the regular beautician had left and with no prior knowledge was seen by their new member of staff. Personally I don't think she was very good, I went in for a wax, and had many in my time, but I left disappointed. Was left even more disappointed when I got to pay and the price had gone up by 50%. Again, as a relatively regular customer it would have been good to be told! Now found somewhere a lot better down the road.

I wasn't holding up too much hope, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The salon is clean and has a nice atmosphere, and looks very different to what you would expect on the outside. Shanel is a great beautician, friendly and knows what she is doing. The Brazilian wax is on of the best I have had, really quick and such a good price for central London.
Also had a microdermabrasion facial, which was very thorough and really cleared the skin!
Would definitely recommend, it's a great price and really quick and efficient. - Sunny K.San Diego, United States58268519411 Apr 2013First to Review
I had Shellac done here before taking a long trip. The colour was gorgeous, a kind of peach with metallic green undertones (sounds awful, but honestly was great!) Got lots of compliments too... Don't know if it's just me but my nails still seem to split at the edges even with Shellac and so this manicure started peeling before the end of the promised fortnight. I was pleased with the service, but this is my second slightly annoying experience with Shellac and I probs won't bother again... Staff were nice though, and the room was fairly peaceful :)

First time reviewing, but had to warn people. Worst manicure I have ever ever had. Messed up my booking first of all. Then she cut my finger & tried to use her own finger to stop the blood (no tissue or anything given), I had to suggest I wash my hands. Got a French manicure, she didn't use a small brush, used just the regular nail brush & line is all wobbly. And all this for almost £50!!!! If this is how they do a manicure I wouldn't trust them with anything else.

In my opinion this beauty salon is very cosy and with pleasant atmosphere. I find it really nice. The professionals there cut my hair very carefully and I liked myself after that. I will go there again the next month. I recommend it to my friends too and I hope they would love it.

I found Willow Hair & Beauty partly due to the location and I am so glad I did! I called up desperately needing a last mintue appointment and the staff were wonderfully accomodating.
My stylist was Sascha who was not only lovely, she really took the time to listen to what I wanted and discuss my options.
Having recently had a colouring horror, I was very nervous about anyone else colouring my hair, but Sascha ensured she knew exaclty the look I wanted and it turned out beautifully. I am so glad I went here and I as its such good value I am sure I will be back soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype User (amycol…)London, United Kingdom0722 Mar 2013
For ladies cut and blow dry you can pay only £30.00. This is a pretty good deal. You can book different treatments on reasonable prices. A reservation might be helpful. The rescheduling can be hard if no hours are available.
