Happy Hour is legit! French fries are seasoned and cooked to perfect. Jordan's a great bartender and prices are reasonable. Glad I stopped by here on the first day of my trip because I'll be here everyday! Definitely stop by :)

Recently reopened, there is neither table service nor food at this time, and they add a default 18% tip to your tab (quietly labeled "Other" on the receipt). The Hollywood Roosevelt bar by contrast clearly labels its own default tip of the same amount -- you can't miss it. Last night at the Rendezvous I did miss it and added my own tip on top of it.
The rest of the place is fine. A room keycard is needed to use the bathrooms, which are a short walk away. Aptly named, it is indeed a good quiet place to rendezvous.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Keila N.Beverly Hills, United States499422791165215 Dec 2012First to Review
Rendezvous Lounge is located in the Double Tree hotel in Little Tokyo. This hotel has changed names a few times. It used to be the New Otani, then it was Kyoto Grand. Odd name for being in Little Tokyo, right?
Garth was our bartender. He was running a one man show from being a bartender to a busboy. Yet his composure was always cool and approachable.
Bf and I stopped here on a Friday night a little after 8. This is a full bar, and Garth knew how to make all the drinks.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Julie D.Toronto, Canada49911184 Dec 2015
This Rendezvous Lounge is located in the Sheraton Gateway in Los Angeles (LAX). We ate here bc their other hotel restaurant was closed. Anyway...service was less than stellar...the server had a great personalit, just not quick about refills or noticing when you needed things/bills etc.
The most pleasant surprise!!!! The Tagliatelle with Wild Mushrooms and chicken. OMG! This was possibly the best pasta dish I've ever eaten. Truly stellar!
Dessert: proceed with caution. I ordered the crém Brule and it tasted like onions...or more accurately like it had been in the fridge next to onions for a while, which was disappointing
Drinks are a little pricey, but taste fine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rice Farmer O.Oakland, United States22423821 Nov 2013
The Rendezvous Lounge, situated in the lobby of the Downtown Los angeles Doubletree hotel, is a nice bar/lounge/restaurant run by a skeletal, but gracious staff (Moises and Azine you folks were amazing).
I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel for a six day business trip? Look I have options, when I travel. This hotel was recommended to me? I took the recommendation and next time, I'm going to take recommendations with a grain of salt and consult Yelp...
On my last night! I was accosted by Amy, the Rendezvous Lounge bar "supervisor". She caught me and my group sampling desserts from a nearby shop.
Amy, scolded my group and cited a non existing Health and Safety code. She told me my desserts will contaminate the lounge... Ahhhh OKAY?
We didn't pack up as fast as Amy wanted and she decided to call hotel security on us. Jay is a svelt young man and I was wondering if he was going to come over to my group slam down the lid on my pastry box and escort me out of the hotel in a Camel-clutch or a full Nelson...
But wait, I'm a guest here???
Amy has let her position go to her head and is giving this barely scrapping by motel a worse name...
I'm not coming back here...Amy' s customers service skills are horrible and more than needs a little work. Maybe it's because Amy didn't like the way my friends and I looked...yep we didnt look financially successful. If she only knew.
Chai thanks for listening.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Isaac R.Los Angeles, United States181120 Aug 2013
I decided to stop in the Doubletree for a couple drinks and a quick bite. The Rendezvous Lounge is pretty cool, great ambiance and reasonable prices, but I think the highlight was my bartender Nick. Very personable and attentive!! I'm not usually in Little Tokyo, but the next time I'm there I will definitely come back here!!
