Amazing service at the store. The guy helped us a ton and knew what we was talking about. Made sure we got the best deal for my personal needs. I think his name was Aman?
However this is the absolute worst phone plan I've ever been on. If I actually had service and if my 3G actually worked it would be a steal for how much I'm paying. But currently I'm spending too much to have service only every now and then. I live in Langley and I don't receive phone calls in my own home from someone in the driveway. I don't have data in my own bedroom, and 80% of the time I'm somewhere without wifi, I don't have any internet access to google or to check messages because freedom's data sucks. They lie to you about credit check level.
I went into a Freedom Mobile store and they asked for a credit check, indicating they only run "soft" credit inquiries (no impact to your credit score). Two days later I got a notice from Equifax indicating that a full credit report was run (which impacts your credit score negatively). I went to the store to ask about it and the manager said "we only run soft credit checks, we have no way of running full credit reports". He gave me Freedom's corporate customer service number and they told me they always run full credit checks. I spoke again to the store manager and called corporate, only to learn that he had incorrectly informed me and there was nothing they could do. I never authorized the full credit check and now Freedom is doing nothing about it. In theory, a good cell company to join.

Phones were set up under wrong user, which has caused problems when trying to inquire on/make changes to phone. I am unable to submit phone bills to employer for reimbursement because number doesn't match name. We've tried to get this amended by contacting customer service line as well as the phone and both refer us to the other again and again.
Service area map is inaccurate. There are dead spots (not even emergency call service) in Surrey (Bear Creek area) and West Kelowna,. They advise there is also Wind Away, but when you try to connect, it won't let you do this either. If you want a provider who is cheap, with intermittent cell phone service, and no customer service, you've found your provider. I just wanted to say that I've been wanting to switch away from Rogers for a while and was hesitant to switching to Wind Mobile because of the non-LTE speeds but after speaking with your sales rep David N at the Willowbrook Mall location in Langley, I am was super excited to make the switch. I didn't realize that I would get speeds of 5mb/s or higher on my iPhone 7 Plus even on the 3G network. That was my biggest concern. I also travel to the US often so the fact that I can have 1GB of data and all that calling and texting on your $55 plan, it seemed like a no brainer! Honestly, your plans seem too good to be true, but it seems that you guys are legit. I'm really excited that Shaw took over and I can see good things coming in the future. Anyways, my purpose of this review was to commend David for his excellent knowledge and salesmanship. He knew exactly what he was talking about and was super friendly and great at multi-tasking and greeting new customers that came into the store while he was still helping me. I was in and out within 10 minutes and he still managed to provide all the information I needed in that short time frame. If you could clone him at all your stores, your sales would skyrocket. I used to own multiple mall kiosks in the cellular industry, and I could have used sales staff like him. Kudos David! I hope this gets back to him in some way or another. He deserves the praise. PS: I also got 2 friends to sign up to Freedom Mobile yesterday as well and I'm sure I'll convert many more people in the future. Cheers and keep up the great work! Consumers have been waiting for a company like you to come along for a while now.
