We got two comfort apartments with winter gardens and we're impressed especially for the price. They were very spacious with a desk area, dining area with 4 person table, sitting area with sofa and chair, along with a walk-in closet with door. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, silverware, toaster, electric tea kettle, refrigerator, microwave, and Nespresso machine. There was a Bose speaker so we could stream our music. The bathroom was well appointed with everything we needed. The bedroom area was spacious. The winter garden had two very comfy chairs with tables and it was nice to open the windows and sit out there in the morning having our coffee. We had a nice view of the Television Tower. Entry into the building was very secure and everyone at the reception desk was friendly and accommodating. It was a great location and although it was in a busy area of Berlin, we found it quiet. There was also a washer and dryer (free of charge) for guests to use which we found beneficial since we had been traveling through Europe for 2 weeks.

Got a studio. It's modern and clean. Love the simplicity of the room. All I need for a short vacay: single-served Nespresso machine, small fridge, small microwave, think it's a bread toaster, utensils, cups, dishes. Bathroom is small but functional. It has a good size shower with heater, drying rack, hair dryer.... and music to play. The staff at the reception area are very nice and helpful. The room is cleaned every 3 days which is fine. The cleaning lady takes her time to really clean it which is great. So please, tip her. Location is fantastic! Close to Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and it's surrounding landmarks. Walking distance too to train stations and restaurants. We used the train to get to the East Side Gallery and Kadawe.
Cons:
1.u have to pay for the Nespresso coffee pods (0.70 cents each) after giving u 2 for free. Would be nice to provide u with 2 free coffee pods per day at least. Helps with the homie feeling and starting the day with energy.
2.The pillows badly needs changing. Your head literally sinks and does not help at all in getting the rest and sleep u need.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1 May 2017
Clipper City might not be a 5 star hotel like intercontinental, but it is certainly a 5 star for me!
People say it's the small things that makes a difference and Clipper certainly got it right!
From a boss sound link in the room, to having Nespresso for customers, or a bottle of sparkling in the fridge, the details just made the stay that little more pleasant!
This is on top of the fact that the room and bathroom just look so tidy and nice, really comfortable as well!
Certainly recommend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steve L.AZ, United States1604117 Dec 2019
Don't know how this place gets so many good reviews, but its not that great.
First room we were given was non smoking but you walked in and wham....smokers smell bad. Went back to desk and they gave us another room. Smelled better, but just as small. The bed had one side up against the wall, and barely had any other room to move around. Faced the busy street so all you hear is sirens and traffic.
Not clean rooms/bathroom, dirty, very dated and old rooms. Not recommended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
