A nice meal after a long travel day. Good quality Arabian food - I got a thumbs up for the choice from my taxi driver who is from Syria - decent service, and a pleasant atmosphere in Mitte.

I was dining solo after a sleepless overnight flight from JFK. It was early, around 5pm, and I started with the lemonada, a non-alcoholic and frozen blended drink with mint. Tasty. I also had the Moroccan mint green tea as well. For dinner, I had the chef's sampler with six small plate appetizers of his/her/their choice. All were quite good, several were sprinkled with pomegranate seeds, and the felafel, hummus, yogurt, and another eggplant mix (not baba ghannoush, I know that that is!) were standouts. My only complaints are that the pitas were cold and dry and really should be made fresh, service was missong throughout the meal, and the background music kept starting and restarting, which was mildly annoying.

If there's any upside to the disgusting racism towards Arabs sweeping across Germany these days, then it's the fact that good, even great Arab restaurants are affordable and not so full of the shitty hipster-douchebag "in-crowd" that is the pest of every sushi and vegan joint in this gentrified city.

This gem of a restaurant in the usually upscale "Mitte" district of Berlin offers a business lunch that lasts until 3pm instead of just 2pm, so you can take your time and enjoy a late lunch break. It also offers a legendary Sunday brunch which is the only exception because it's always full and you definitely have to book in advance, but you won't regret it.

The entrance is not in immediate view because there's a construction site next to the restaurant, which is always quiet whenever I visit, but don't let that fool you. Right behind it is an empty space overlooking the water where you can enjoy the summer.

You know what? Just go there. You'll see!

It is a really heart place to enjoy some characteristic Arab food. And pass a great night near the river.

Service was extremely poor. I'm a visitor to Berlin, so try to be patient when things don't move the way I expect. But they lost my dinner order. The falafel appetizer was good, and then nothing. The table next to me came in afterwards and then their getting served. I asked the waiter where was my dinner, and he came back and said it would be there shortly. Never saw my first waiter again. It sounded like they were having a loud discussion in the back. I'm In Berlin for several more days, won't be coming back.
Food was okay, they earned a one for service.

My family of 4 (kids 10 and 13 years) had a nice table at the Spreekanal. We started with bread and hummus which was good. For the main dish my wife and 13 year old daughter had the Falafel which was a very big portions and they could properly have shared. My youngest only had a bowl of pasta with tomato sauce on the side and I had the Mixed Grill Platter. Overall the food was good but a bit pricy compared with other restaurants in the area. I would properly had given the 4th star if the waiter had not charged us 10.90 EUR for a bowl of pasta with a tomato sauce on the side and if we not repeatedly had to ask for missing items.

Excellent, cut above food! Best Arab food I have ever had- everything is delicious! Service fast and pleasant too.

Really good food. Would definitely recommend. Service can be a little slow, but that is the only real complaint. Everything else is excellent.

Hier ist eine sehr gute orientalische Küche gepaart mit sympathischem Service. Die Qualität der Küche und die Liebe für Detail auf dem Tisch sowie echte Gastfreundschaft haben vollständig überzeugt.
Wir sind zum Buffet erschienen, sehr vielfaltig, der Platz ist richtig schick ( 4 Stern mässig)
Wärmstens zu empfehlen!

A very nice restaurant. Three of us had "Journey Through The Orient". Got 21 dishes instead of the 18 in the menu, maybe because we were there. It was a culinary variety and something new in every dish.
